Abstract: »The article discusses the way in which spirituality can be utilized by female victims of wartime rape to overcome their experiences, with focus given to victims of rape during Armenia's ethnic cleansing of the Azerbaijani population in the Karabagh region of Armenia and Azerbaijan, particularly that carried out in Khajoli, Azerbaijan. The author addresses ways in which spiritual caregivers can help rape victims overcome feelings of guilt and shame based on the Qur'an.
